The BNB ecosystem launches an initiative to support promising projects on CEX through token-based incentives

BNB Chain has announced the launch of a large-scale $100 million liquidity incentive program. The initiative is aimed at supporting projects built within the BNB ecosystem to strengthen their presence on major centralized exchanges (CEX) and increase overall network liquidity. 

As part of the new initiative, projects will be able to receive BNB token rewards if their assets are successfully listed on one of 11 key centralized exchanges selected by BNB Chain. These include major platforms such as Binance and Coinbase. 

The program will run for three months on a “first come, first served” basis. The most successful projects may receive up to $500,000 in ongoing liquidity support. 

To participate, projects must meet several criteria: a market capitalization of at least $5 million, an average daily trading volume of at least $1 million, and compliance with other internal network requirements. In this way, BNB Chain is focusing on mature and promising projects capable of generating meaningful activity on centralized exchanges (CEX). 

Depending on the case, projects may receive support in the form of non-withdrawable liquidity in BNB, as well as through the purchase of their tokens using BNB to create two-sided liquidity. This means assistance will come in the form of both “frozen” tokens to stabilize trading and direct market participation in the projects’ own tokens.

The thieves chose a failed tactic and earned only $8,000

On September 18, several well-known accounts on the social network X were hacked. The hackers used them to promote the HACKED meme token, but the total revenue from the fraud amounted to only $8,000. According to blockchain researcher ZachXBT, the hacked accounts included the pages of Lenovo India, Yahoo News UK, MoneyControl, Oliver Stone, People, and Krystal DeFi. This time, the attackers chose an unusual tactic — directly reporting that the accounts had been hacked. The thieves offered users a special token called HACKED, promising that everyone who bought it could make money along with the hackers when the price went up. Each hacked account published an address to buy this asset. However, this approach did not pay off. After the sale of the token stock, the hackers earned only $8,000 and most likely even incurred losses, given the efforts and resources expended. According to ZachXBT, account holders could have been granted access to their accounts through a compromised website or app. After the hack, the value of the HACKED token increased by 900% but later plummeted to almost zero.
